TrueVoters already know that there were widespread voting system failures in Maryland (click link for more details). Right now - in July 2005 - Diebold is still working to explain why so many of its machines crashed, screens froze and PC memory cards were blank. MANY
unanswered question remain and despite these facts, the State Board of
Elections have yet to Tell the Full Truth to legislators or the public
about what went wrong on Election Day! The citizens of Maryland
desrve to know exactly what we got for our $88 million
investment!! Until the facts are made public, we cannot - and
should not - have confidence in the accuracy and reliability of
Maryland's voting system. Please join us in calling for: The RELEASE OF ALL DOCUMENTS about the voting system breakdowns in the primary and general elections in 2004, and a FULL INVESTIGATION into the Diebold system breakdowns
Other
states are also beginning to acknowledge that their electronic voting
systems have serious flaws and may not be reliable in future
elections. Just this week, Georgia's congresswoman, Cynthia
McKinney, called for an investigation of Diebold failures in her state in the 2004 Election (the exact SAME Diebold machines that we have in Maryland). Please take a minute
to write to the State Board of Elections and to the Legislative
Committees TODAY!! Urge them to release the documents and do an
investigation of the problems so that we are confident in our future
election results. TAKE ACTION TO PROTECT YOUR VOTE!!! Only registered users can write comments. Please login or register. Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
